“Formed by Arian Lane (The Drowsy Maggies; Honey Hunter) and Jordan Hicks (Contrast; Bench Press) on Wadawurrung and Dja Dja Wurrung land, Pyrex lays its roots in Lane’s singing and songwriting which takes shape from a love of classic folk, psychedelia, shoegaze and 90’s era music.

Their debut single, ‘I Want Love’, which was released in early 2022 received play and praise on community radio Australia-wide. Their second single, ‘Same Things’, taken from debut EP ‘Noise For No Reason’, due out early 2023, features friend and talented local Ballarat musician Connor Toomey and delves further into the bands dream pop leanings, showcasing groovy tapestries, lush instrumentation and ethereal vocals.
